Well Hello everyone, It's been a while again. if you want the most current update for Arkansas Diner please check us on Facebook.
We have decided to close our second location due to work stress and bad business over there. We are back to our original Zouying location and will expand the hours after Chinese New year. We have launched a new product referred to as hour "Hillbillyrito". You can see the advert attached below. They are not quite a Wrap, and not quite a Burrito, so I named them Hillbillyrito. Stop in and try one or two today. Hello Everyone, sorry it's been a while. We've had a lot going on. Now we have 2 locations to serve you with both offering our Unique food items. Attached is a map to Arkansas Diner #2. I will update our Hours on the information Page
Well, I finally got my Biscuits and Gravy going. Everyone was pushing me saying how can you serve such wonderful Biscuits and not offer Gravy to be put on top of them. The main thing holding me back was not having any Breakfast Sausage, but ya know, I grew up poor and many mornings we'd just have Gravy, no Sausage, and that was just fine. But in order to give a meatier taste, I do have some finely chopped up bacon in the mix. So far, everyone seems to enjoy it and says it makes a very filling breakfast.
Well, we have finished our first full week of operation. It's been quite a large learning Curve but we are ready to head into our second week smarter and stronger. It feels good to offer something unique into the Kaohsiung Food Market. It seems our Buttermilk Biscuits are creating quite a nice buzz. Below are a few shots of the first week.
Well, we had our grand opening on April 19th. It was a lot of fun and we were very, very busy. Everyone enjoyed the food and the music. Big shout out to Seamas Manly and Goober Gun for giving us some good music. The after party at Azodi Park was also a lot of fun.
We are now open 6:30 - 10am Tuesday through Friday and 8am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday. Well, this morning was the first attempt at making the famous Arkansas Diner Biscuits. Though the flavor was good, they didn't rise as expected and their appearance left a lot to be desire. We put Bacon, Egg and Cheese on them and yum yum. I am pretty sure the key problem is that I was using what is called Bread Flour and didn't put in Baking Soda nor Baking Powder. This afternoon i will try again, and keep trying until I get them perfect.
Well, this past weekend I finally got all the decorations up. Maybe not all as I think I will be adding more as the business runs. But for now, it's up and looking good. This week we'll start posting cooking pictures.
